MIAA hopes alive

The Adrian College number four ranked MIAA women’s basketball team beat the Trine University Thunder Tues. night by a final score of 62-57.
The Bulldogs faced off against the Thunder for the first game in MIAA tournament play. With the win the Bulldogs are scheduled to play the number one ranked Hope College Flying Dutch tonight on the road in a semifinal match that is sure to be an offensive explosion on both sides.
The win was not an easy victory for the Bulldogs as they had to surmount a 10 point defecit with less than 12 left to play in the second half. The Bulldogs put together a 22-7 run to overtake the Thunder defense.
After not sinking a single basket in the first half senior guard Anita Stamps came through in a huge way for the Bulldogs in the second half scoring 18 points.
