From 5 p.m. – 7p.m. today, a benefit dinner will be held for Ritchie Marketplace administrative assistant Gloria Kaufman.

The dinner will be held in the Adrian-Tobias Room behind the Ritchie Annex. The cost will be $10, but it goes to a good cause. Kaufman was diagnosed with a severe type of cancer over the summer. She has been an employee at Ritchie for more than 24 years. Kaufman has recently take time off from work, due to her illness.

Both faculty and students are welcome to attend the event. People are allowed to preorder tickets in the front office of Ritchie today from 10 a.m. –  2 p.m. Otherwise, they may purchase them at the door. Dining Dollars and Bulldog Bucks will not be accepted as payment at the dinner, as this event is to help raise money to help Kaufman.

“I just feel like this event is for a great cause and community support is welcome to this too,” said Nikki Partee, organizer for the event.

The dinner menu consists of lasagna, roast beef, mashed potatoes, vegetables, dinner rolls and frosted cake. Following the dinner a silent auction will be held. The event is sponsored by Sodexo.
