The Adrian College women’s basketball team beat the Olivet Comets last night in a huge 62-60 Bulldog victory.
The Comets were able to keep the contest close the entire night but the Bulldogs proved to be to much for Olivet.
Senior Ashley McClarren proved vital to the Bulldog victory, sinking 13 points on the night and the game winning shot. The Comets tried to go for a game winning three with five seconds remaining but Stephanie Spehar missed for Olivet.
Last Saturday the Bulldogs defeated Trine University by a margin of 68-58.
The Bulldogs now have an overall record of 11-10 and an MIAA record of 7-6 and are tied for third place in league play.
The Bulldogs have a tough road ahead of them with both the first and second place teams in the MIAA remaining on the schedule for this season. The Bulldogs will take the court again Saturday as they face off against the Kalamazoo College Hornets at 3 p.m. at home.
